Our Tinderwood Trust school project are tailored to support your school improvement plan or specific area within your children’s learning.
Please visit the Info for schools page for more details.
Our projects take place all year round with 6 session’s minimum per project.
A forest school session lasts 2 hours, excluding any travel time. The sessions have a rhythm and a pattern to them which the children get to be familiar with.
Part of our ethos is to engage children with the green spaces around them so we use suitable woodland near to your school, or woodland that is part of your school grounds, or one of our larger sites. The children then develop a stewardship role for these areas and having a raised awareness of them will act tootect and look after woodland spaces.
One 6 week project costs £1200, and for longer term working relationships we can be open to negotiations!
The overwhelming aim of our Family Forest School sessions is to give space and time for children and their parents to have fun together and discover all the play possibilities of the outdoor world and make friends at the same time.
The sessions are run by fully qualified Forest School Leaders and Volunteers. All adults leading the sessions hold current enhanced CRBs.

We ask for a donation from families of £4 per child per child per session.
Please note: We run in all weathers with just two exceptions; if there is a strong wind or if the rain has been really heavy and the site is liable to flood. Either of these conditions would make it unsafe to be in the woods, and families will be contacted on Facebook or text message as soon as a risk assessment has been carried out. A message will also be shown on this page.
