Riverside School, Hebden Bridge
This Autumn has seen the year 5's and 6's of Riverside Junior school totally loving the woods to develop their independence, their risk taking and the chance to get stuck into a wide range of woodland activities. In week 1 they arrived a bit breathless after the walk but by week 5 they are well kitted out and raring to go into the territory that has become their own.
Back in 2011 Riverside took part in a 6 week project which was supported by both National Lottery funding and Hebden Royd Town Council.
The weather may have been against them for a while but our partnership with the National Trust meant that we had a lovely base camp from which to explore the woods all around.
Visit the schools home page to see what else goes on at Riverside now that it is all fixed and dry since the flooding of boxing day 2015.
